My experience was marred by the lack of luggage assistance. I had to struggle with my bags due to the inconvenient public parking, which was far from the hotel. I was frustrated by the unavailability of complimentary water in the room, and the hotel’s front desk staff were not particularly helpful during my inquiries. The check-in process felt disorganized, and I left feeling exhausted rather than relaxed.

Nestled within the historic walls, Hotel Vardar features spacious rooms with high-quality amenities, a generous breakfast, and exceptional staff, particularly Gordana, who made our stay memorable.

Finding the hotel on foot was tricky, especially during a rainstorm. The access by car is limited and could be confusing for first-time visitors.

the decor was so dated, I thought I was in a time warp. absolutely no tea/coffee maker, how dare they? I also expected a room upgrade or at least a complimentary treat for all my troubles with the parking fiasco. just couldn’t get over the lack of attention to detail and the completely inadequate breakfast choices.

When we arrived, the atmosphere was electric,, the location couldn't have been better. The staff treated us like royalty, especially the cleaning ladies who always had a smile ready and our room was immaculate and comfy.

The stay wasn't exactly inexpensive, but it was still acceptable.

the room was huge and comfy with a great view. the breakfast was sooo good, really hit the spot every morning. also, the staff were super friendly and gave awesome tips for exploring the area. loved that they can book taxis for you at good prices too. totally worth it for a solo traveler like me.

only downside was the noise from outside sometimes, and i wish they had a tea/coffee maker in the room.
